Well it's been raining for another 24 hrs. They were saying rain on Sun, Mon, and Tues. But now they say that it will move out tonight sometime.

We had 36-40 hours of steady rain over the weekend too. Looks like it is over for us leaving 3 inches of rain in my gauge. They have also taken the snow flurries out of tonights forecast :'(

I just drove out to get the paper and mail. The little drainage ditch with the 5 ft culverts is flooded to the top of the culverts. And it's rushing through there. Sure hope it quits raining before it wshes out. If it does, I'm stuck at home until I can get someone to repair it.

CK I hope you get the repair done quickly and that the rain stops in your area.

Toni you can have our snow. It's been coming down since Sunday and doesn't look as though it's going to stop any time soon.

I just came on to let you all know it was raining up here.....AGAIN!!!!only the Capt. beat me to it. It is soooooooooo dreary here that it seems an hour later than it is. almost dark at 4:45pm Has been raining all day and kevin just said on the weather forecast that we are to get another 3/4" tonight. Everything is saturated. Water is pooling in the yard and starting to stand down in the field. Our poor farmers are not getting their crops off. I saw a grain wagon in a field sunk up to its axles on one side (looked pretty precarious to me), the tractor looked stuck and so did the cherry picker they had there trying to get it all out of the field  :'( I felt so bad for the guy and it doesn't look as if it is going to get any better anytime soon.

Here, I think the farmers are going to have to wait until the ground freezes to get the remaining corn off.

Like Toni, we also got 3 inches of rain over the last 2 days. And it's sprinkling a little more tonight but will be clearing out soon leaving clear skies and freezing/near-freezing temps for the next few days.

Oh hurray...Texas got rain!!! That 3" should help out a little Toni?
The lower section of our property is still underwater...a good acre of water where grass should be. On the plus side...if it freezes we will have a lovely skating rink! We had snow last night but I think weatherman is calling for sunny skies tomorrow.
