What was the size of your family? There were seven children in our family. Three boys and four girls. Boy, girl, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl. The youngest is 20 years younger than the oldest and 10 years younger than the next older to her. There were 5 kids under six years old. We all worked at whatever needed done. We always had someone to play with. We fought with each other but woe be unto anyone who started a fight against any one of us. They had the whole family fighting back. Not so funny now that I'm grown but no one picked on us. One thing that isn't common now. We girls never went any where by ourselves. To the movies, to the store, to church, to a party. A brother always went along. Even first dates were group affairs. We had dozens of cousins to play with at any one time. Some even stayed with us. Can you imagine a house with 14 kids and 4 adults? It was such fun at times but there was never much time alone. I can't imagine growing up without brothers and sisters. we only have three boys of our own and they are scattered all over the place. My dad used to say to see all of his kids he'd have to travel the world. Mine are at least all of the western side of the country. I guess we just never stopped moving and that's a good thing. We's see much and met so many wonderful people, like the ones who live around us. We've met a lot through this forum, too. dooley moderator's note: added a more descriptive title to topic
There are six kids in my family. Sis is the oldest, then the four boys and finally me. There's a 12 year gap between us girls. We didn't get everything we ever wanted growing up... but we sure got everything we needed!
With 11 years between my sister and me it was like growing up in a house with three adults. We did however, have our own language so our parents would not know what we were saying. As there is 2400 miles between us there are lots of phone calls. Jerry
Parents, a younger brother and me.....I always wanted to be an only child. My two girls are 20 yrs 21 days apart, none in the middle. I usually tell people I wanted to see how the first one turned out before having another one.
I was the youngest of three. Grew up with lots of cousins nearby. Lost my brother in 1987, and my Dad in 1993. Just Mom, and an older sister left of our family. My sister and I both have two boys and 1 girl, and those 6 have expanded the family with 3 little boys so far, and 2 more on the way in 2012. Now, Bob is one of 5 kids, and his cousins numbered 8. I am am simply amazed at the numbers in their clan. It keeps us on our toes keeping up with all the new additions with marriages and babies!
How many in your family There were 6 in my family. Two brothers and a sister. I'm the oldest, 2yrs later, brother, two more years later, brother two more years later, sister. We are scattered out too. Sister and younger brother live in Illinois. Another brother in Georgia, and me in Texas. e-mail and phone calls galore.
Right now, my family consists of mom, dad, stepmom, soon-to-be-stepdad, soon-to-be-stepsister, 4 sisters (2 are twins), 2 nephews, 2 uncles, 2 aunts, 5 cousins I know of on moms side and various cousins on my dads side. Theres a few other folk in the family on moms side, mostly through marriage though. Mostly everyone lives in Indiana, although my one aunt lives in St Louis. I really dont know much of dads side of the fam :/

Lost my Dad in 1977 to Alcohol Lost my Mom in 1998 to smoking Lost my Big Brother in Nam 1969 Lost my Older Sister in 1992 to Drugs We are a broken and dysfunctional family, I am the outcast of the lot. One brother is all that will talk to me. The other brother is in a care center he is 60 years old, Killed part of his brain with alcohol. The other 3 sisters hate my guts. Wish I had the close loving family some of you have. I have 5 Children of my own. 3 girls 2 boys, They are all good to me but cannot seem to get along with each other. The oldest is 39 and the youngest is 30. I have 18 grand kids and 4 step-grand kids. They are all close so I get to see them often.
I'm one of three girls. There was a brother between me and my eldest sister but he died when still a baby. My youngest sister is now 55 but we don't keep in touch. My elder sister is 69 an we're fairly close. I have three children two boys and a girl aged 39, 33 and 29 and am very close to my eldest son and Laura my youngest. My second son lives down south in London so I don't get to see him often. Both of my parents are dead and so is Ian's dad. His mum has terminal cancer and isn't expected to live for more than a few months. I have no grandchildren.
