That is a beautiful thing to have something in the family for so many generations and still being used. Lucky you.

Oh Boy your kitchen must have smelt lovely when all those delicious treats were taken out of the oven. I wonder what happened to my grans breadmaker? Yours does a much better job, and holds more, than the modern electric ones you get nowadays. If you ever need a taster then drop me a line. ;)

That's such a nice tradition! I'm so glad your family has held on to the old bread maker through the years.

I can almost smell those wonderful aromas! Love that bread maker and the fact that it's still being used in your family.

How did you come by such a wonderful piece of history! I have never seen a tool like that one. My Mom used to make bread too, the old fashioned way. I never did learn how to make bread like that. It looks delish.

    Hi Carol,
The bread maker belonged to my great grandmother. She died when she was 102 and it had alot of use by then. Next it was grandma's then mom's now its mine. My daughter will get it when I'm to old to crank it anymore. ( which isn't to far off). My grandkids are the 6th generation.
The bread maker has had several repair jobs over the years. Have to find someone that can weld it back together now and then.
