its been years since i see a gnome in the wild. just wondered if anyone here still had them?? pics?? will there be christmas themed gnomes??
Sorry Lukey but they're just not my 'thing.' Sorry Frank. There's a house in a nearby village though that has garden gnomes - Snow white and the seven dwarves and at least another 30 other ones.
I have two. I made a door from a piece of a gourd so they can go in and out at the base of my maple tree. lol. Don
I had gnomes, but I don't think they like my Canadian winters. Haven't seen them in months...they must go south for the winter.
Thanks for posting your gnome. I need to get a red marker or crayon now. Chance says watch out for other critters, Frank! dooley
haha and i thought there would be some serious gnomers here. i really can't remember the last time i see a gnome garden. your right netty they must wobble south for the winter
I have Gnomes, they don't gang up and party in the yard like some you see. The ones in my yard have all picked out their homesite and have been happy there for several years. Some have names but most don't...or actually they probably do but they haven't shared their names with me yet. This is Maude and Herbert. Herbert is the first Gnome to come to my garden. I think he wanted to settle in before having the Missus join him, when she appeared I knew he liked it here. Maude and Herbert ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I don't know this fellows name, I just call him Buster cause he sort of looks like a Buster. During the hail storm we had in April he decided trying to catch hail stones looked like a fun thing to do and ended up with a couple of injuries. But being the obstinate fellow he is he refused medical treatment and wears his battle scars proudly. Buster ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) These two are brothers and hang out under the Lipstick Autumn Sage. Brother 1 ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Brother 2 ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Namaste is the official greeter in the back yard Namaste ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Sitting in the living room by the (non-working) cast iron stove... Randy and I in years to come : ) ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Our oldest daughter brought this pair to live with us, she thought they looked like us too. A younger Randy and I sitting on the front porch ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I don't know his name but these little critters are always trying to make off with him right on our windowsill. I take him out of their hands and the next thing I know he is back in their clutches. Poor fellow just can't escape ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Curmudgeon likes to sit there and keep the various cords and wires associated with our TV and other electronics from becoming hopelessly tangled. That's his front door behind him. Curmudgeon ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) This happy fellow is Geeky, he sits under my computer monitor and keeps an eye on everyone who uses my computer. Geeky the computer Gnome ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I had a dickens of a time finding the Traveler, Randy and I were both searching high and low for him. Good morning, first of all there should be some respect shown...... ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden )
I have two gnomes. They moved to the greenhouse for the winter months. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden )
First of all, no LP. gnomes dont believe in Christmas, they havent really grasped the idea of a calendar, we like that ...saves us buying presents for EVERYONE! Meet Eric and Brian...Brian is the musical one and Eric tries to sing but havent heard very much at all.The are both handsome fellows, infact they are looking for other gnomes with similar interests and style to compare notes and experiences. All genuine gnomes are elligible and invited to participate, abiding with a few simple rules. First of all ..no imposters! Age is a very important factor, Eric and Brian are well into their 90s so they would be happy to see other gnomes from the same era. No racisim is tolerated as anyone can see from a glance.Suitable attire is required. P.S. these two are nearly 100 yr old and weigh a ton, one person can not lift them, they are handmade from concrete[no moulds then] genuine garden gnomes from the'old days'They are over 3ft tall. Black and white minstrels ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden )
Since those gnomes are way out of my budget, I will be very content with my imposters....who, by the way, don't know they are imposters so don't say that too loud
very nice gnomes everyone!! i wouldn't mind a couple myself hiding aroud the garden. chocolate i think its sad that gnomes haven't quite grasped the calender yet, brian would get much more use out of his guitar if he knew when to celebrate christmas and birthdays ect
