We got a new neighbor last week. We will be getting a few more in the next month or so. There will be five new mamas. ( photo / image / picture from dooley's Garden ) Most will be the little white ones but one is brown and one is tan/gray so there will be a mix. Last year the mama goat had triplets. This year just one. We'll see what the others have soon. dooley
Congrats on the new neighbor,..they look so cute when young,..well more cute than when older but still nice then, ,..do you make goats cheese?.
Both! The rooster is huge! He moved out over the weekend. The little goat was not a day old yet in this picture. She's very speedy now, keeping up with the big goats when I toss things over the fence for them. She doesn't know she's supposed to just drink from mama for a few days or weeks. dooley
Kids are sooo cute! I just wish goats didn't get up to all sorts of mischief or I'd love to have a couple. I love feta cheese, the greek goat milk cheese. *drool*
I haven't had goat cheese since I was a child-many years ago. Neighbor's kids had them for 4-H project. Escape artist. Never made proper fence for them. But babies so cute.
Such cute little critters! Good to see them penned up. We had goat neighbors when I lived in Colorado, and they roamed loose. They were always hanging out at our place, trying to eat everything in sight. they were funny and cutr thogh and it was hard to stay mad at them, even when they devoured the roses.
We have a Goat farm south west of us they make beautiful goats cheese,..which i love!,.."St Tola Cheese",..they have around 230 goats there,..here is a video of same,..goats included. Video==St Tola Goats Cheese.
