It looks like a senecio with long chalky light greenish-blue banana shaped leaves with purple-reddish tips. I got it at my local home improvement store. The ID tag is unreadable. I've researched online and I can't figure out what type of succulent it is. ( photo / image / picture from jdolmat's Garden ) :'(
I agree with Eileen's ID. It does look a bit crowded as there appear to be 4 plants in the pot. Since it is potbound the plants have probably used up the nutrients in the soil hence the purple color. The plant would benefit from being divided and repotted. Then you would have four happy Aloe Vera plants. Jerry
It is not Aloe vera. More likely a Cotyledon or Senecio. Can you tell me if the leaves are opposite or alternate on the stem? Also, at the leaf tips, is it flattened with a bit of color, or pointed? If you were to cut a leaf (cross section), would it be round or have a more flattened look?
Rosemarie, I agree it does not look like an aloe vera to me and it's different than Senecio mandraliscae, the leaves are much longer and thicker. The leaves are opposite and pointed at the end. A cross-section is half-circle (semi-circle).
Not quite right, but have a look at Cotyledon orbiculata v. flanaganii. Beware of mistaken identities on the web, though. A type of Senecio is still looking like a good possibility. :-?
Thank you everyone! I think it may either be Cotyledon orbiculata var. flanaganii or cotyledon orbiculata var. oblonga. I'll wait and see if it shoots up orangey pink clusters of flowery bells.
If it is the other you named, it would be the cultivar 'Flavida', which I have. The tips would be crimped to flatten them a bit & edged in red. Flowers will be a big help in determining its ID.
