First bloom of the year on my clematis

This is my President clematis. Ive had it about 5 or 6 years now.
This is a beautiful photo, however in real life the bloom is a dark purple *lol* My camera is odd like that, sometimes it doesnt show colors truly and I dont know how to change it (or if I can...)

I don't do Clematis, but i love 'em. My mother has one.

 

Oooooh Pretty blue Clematis. Now that I know it's name I will have to get one. Or two.

I used to have a pink clematis 'comtesse de bouchard', but it bloomed for one year then croaked. Couldnt figure out why as it was growing next to this one and this one is still going strong.

Will probably collect 3 clematis today, and I will run and plant them out in the garden...

I got my first clematis last year, it did come back this year but has not bloomed. :~( My elderly neighbor down the road has lots of them and they are so beautiful.
