The First Rose.

    My first rose bloomed yesterday,..it was a close run between the pink or Orange,..as of today i have 24 rose bushes established,..eight are from cuttings taken during last summer,..all either red,Yellow or Orange blooms,..so looking forward to a massive display of roses.

    A present i got today,..Pelergonium,.. and planted in front of the Purple Fennel.

    This is indeed the Hens and Chicks that we all know,..however it was kept indoors over winter and so the reason it is so tall,..but i am impressed with the outcome.

    Gosh Philip you're way ahead of me!! My rose bushes are all in leaf but there's no sign of any buds,let alone flowers,yet. Everything in your garden appears to be about six weeks ahead of mine. My tulips, however, are all coming into bloom and so is my Peony rose so I'm not complaining. :-D

    Eileen its amazing the difference in growth we have,..you got a rough cold spell and snow into the bargain while i had no snow at all,..i have lots of roses in bud,..pinks reds and orange touch wood the weather remains stable.

    Thank you Jane,..i try to make it look like a Cottage Garden,..at least the house can be said to be a cottage.

    Thank you Kildale,..blooms wise you are far behind us on this side of the pond but you will be seeing them soon enough i hope.

    a yes you would like the pink colours,..as for the cats,..they had a bad day today,..something in the sky that didn't have feathers and made a lot of noise was hovering over my house.
