My neighbor does roses so I don't have to. If you are a rose grower, slap me if I ever say I'm going to mess with that pain, again. This house across the street was wiped out by Hurricane Rita. It took 6 years, but it's a fine and dandy home with 3 beds and baths. Resident squirrel not yet caught by my Siamese wanna be cat. Those light brown striations on the trunk are expanding new growth. Yes, I fertilize. Especially young, beautiful oaks. Can you see the tail? I guess she was serious when she came by the other day and said they were going to prune Pecans and Oaks. My neighbor. Another neighbor. I told her I hated boxwoods and she should have never planted them. I follow the truth in landscaping law. Another neighbor with Live Oaks that attract lightning. Some more of our neighborhood. This house is a rental that needs a good renter. Across the street. They asked for a zoning variation to build a new garage. Why would I say no to that. This house has an interesting history. But it all starts with this one. This was known as the party house. I've never been inside it. Recently remodeled to perfection. I even have a fig tree. Buck coming home from a hard trip through the hood.
Many thanks for the tour of your neighbourhood. You live in a beautiful spot and all the gardens appear to be well tended. Your neighbour certainly had an abundance of roses and they all look lovely. Buck certainly seems to have enjoyed his tour around the district too.

Looks like a very well established neighborhood. And so glad to see some wonderful rebuilding after the hurricanes. Around here... there's still houses with blue tarps on them (or should I say "remants" of blue tarps).
What a neat looking neighborhood I'd like to live in an older, well kept neighborhood like that. ours is older but kind of run down :'( Ours is the nicest home in the hood
In our neighborhood, we don't try to be nicest house in the hood, we are the nicest house. Urban Renewal at it's finest. Gosh there are some fine properties here.
Geez... neighborhoods look so much different than what we have around here. You will never see a house with just lawn or any landscaping. It all goes on behind walls and fences. I guess we all love our privacy and ... safety ??? I love your n-hood!
Blissful those are some very nice homes. I love front porch's and those Oak's are magnificant. We have a Burr Oak down the hill from us on a neighbors propery that was growing there about 36 years before the Civil War started. Boy what stories these old tree's could tell us. Thanks for the great pic's. I to do not do roses. I have a black thumb when it comes to them. But I love seeing pic's of gardening folks who do.
