Wow Tina, it is lookin SO much better! You have put a lot of hard work into it! I agree with Cheryl that you should change the title of this forum! I like the idea of some viney type stuff hanging down over the wall, and/or a narrow bed in front, along the length of it to add interest. One friend I have planted small plants that cascaded out from the nooks & cranies of her wall. It looked great. Good luck! It is fun seeing your back yard develop!

The new litle garden corner in my backyard now has blooms. ( photo / image / picture from Tina's Garden ) Anybody know what the blue flowers are? I got them from Jewels yard in spring.
The blue flower is Veronica spicata 'Ulster Blue Dwarf' (Speedwell). I don't know where they got the "dwarf" since mine are well over three feet this year, but then everything is tall this year with all our cool, damp weather. Your yard is shaping up nicely Great work!
We finally hired a landscaper to work on the backyard, specifically the top(higher) part. There are holes 2' feet deep in that yard and we were not comfortable doing it ourselves. He came in today and checked. We will need to replace the retaining walls as the logs were rotten and were losing soil. Please suggest hedges that can grow in mostly shaded areas. I marked the area with two black lines where I want the hedges to be. I have azaleas in mind, but would love to hear if there are other suggestions. I would love to have a flowering hedge or something with pretty leaves. I don't like Boxwood hedge at all. I will post pictures as we make progress. Thanks for your help.
