Bought a Fuji finepix 24x 14 mega pixels. Not sure I like it. I don't think pictures are sharp enough. Coming from a person who takes terrible pictures, I think your new camera is GREAT. Just keep snapping away. Barb in Pa.
Those blooms are looking very good to me. Take photos from different distances, sometimes I get sharper photos by cropping a small image out of a large photo. I really like the black and white feature, will have to make sure that's on my next camera.
If you are resizing your photos, they will not be as clear as the originals. You might try a "sharpen" or better yet, "unsharp mask" (if you have it) in your paint program to sharpen up your resized images. I like the black & white image too!
Gorgeous blooms. Do you still have your old camera? You could try to do side-by-side comparisons to see how the sharpness compares. It's a 24x optical zoom?
Still playing with camera. Pictures are still looking a little fuzzy to me after sending here. I printed a couple and they are very sharp.
I think you can easily solve the fuzzy issue with a simple photo manipulator/editor and viewer software. I myself use IrfanView, as it is first of all free, very easy to use, and doesn't even take much space in the Hard Drive (and is not even hogging any CPU resources). You can easily adjust the color balance, brightness, contrast, gamma, hue, and sharpness too (within seconds)! Just go here and download it for free. http://www.irfanview.com/
Donna, EVERYTHING looks wonderful! I love the anemone. I am not sure if I can say they are my favorite....But today they are anyhow. OH, wait, maybe it is that pink dahlia, or no...maybe the iris. AWW HECK!!! I can't tell which one I like the most.
To check the resolution and resizing of photos, take pictures of text. You will be able to judge if it is you, your camera or the web site photo compression. I suspect the compression /reduction of the site. Your photos are still great!! Jerry
Hi Donna, congrats on the new camera,..and lots of beautiful pictures. I agree with you about the pictures you print being sharper than the pictures posted here in the forum,..i notice my pictures coming through from YouTube or the Slideshow are much sharper than those reduced in size when posted here in the forum.
I just learned of a website called Pixlr... no program to download... you upload your photo to the site and manipulate it there... supposed works just like Photoshop. I haven't been there or tried it... a co-worker was telling me about it. Oh... more beautiful photos Donna!
