If you would put a roof on your bean hut I could live in it,only thing else I would need is taters and corn bread! Perdi

    Great Good Evening Perdi,

Well!! get your bags packed because we have got the taters and it would not take long to put a new roof on the hut and we had a half a cake of the best corn bread and half of a pot of the lesser known greasy cut short beans left over from supper. We also had fresh Peaches and cream corn just cut off the cob cream style just pulled from the garden along with carrots also last but not least got a big pot of greens cooking slow on the stove but I could not find any room left in my pouch for them. I sure could use some help packing this stuff away.

By the way Welcome to the home of the Greasy Bean.
Come by more often we have plenty of room for hungry folks.
    G Bean

Nothing better than good ole country cookin. Only problem is ..it can pack the pounds on a person. But then again, any foods can.
Love that cornbread with butter just drippin off. Makes for a real good meal.
Greasy bean, you sure are makin me hungry.

Queen of Greasy Bean's bean patch

Here is more of Greasy Bean's pics. This is the queen of the greasy bean patch, Mrs. Greasy Bean. She is so lovely in her gardening attire. Greasy Bean has for sure, rolled out the red carpet for her in the bean patch!

And a nice big basket of greasy beans!

    BEAUTIFUL!!

Hi Gloria and GB.... WOW!!! What beautiful beans and that morning glory... just breathtaking!! I LOVE the color... it's soooooo vivid!! I wonder if I could plant the beans so that they would vine around my deck?? hehe... or I'm thinking maybe a 'teepee' kind of thing?? That bean hut is just amazing! Would be a great place to just get away from life for a minute too ;)

Oh, and Mrs. GB sure does look like the queen of the hut there!! Beautiful picture!! And I agree with everyone else... they sure do make me HUNGRY!! Some cornbread, chunk of ham and onion... mmmmmmmm

I don't think I could EVER grow the beans like that... I guess never say never but... it'd be a hard act to follow ;) I'll see how the okra and radishes do first hehe...

Well, back to the kitchen.... (dreaming of the GB's)

    Talk to everyone soon!!

Hi Kandie, I love posting these pics for Greasy Bean. He has promised me beans so that I can have a patch next year. Like you, I don't think I'll ever get the tunnels as perfect as GB's but I've got my mind made up that I'm gonna have greasy beans growing next year. I guess he hasn't been able to get out of the bean patch yet today and view his pics. He and Mrs. Greasy Bean has a lot to do to keep up with all the pickin, stringing and canning. I will tell you that you can look out, he'll have you growing them too. Get your canning equipment ready!

    GB Piccie

Hey, I think that's a contest!! Guess what GB looks like hehehe... I picture him tall, lanky, overalls, straw hat and a big, friendly smile:)) I bet he's pretty tall because he doesn't have to 'take the roof down' for himself to pick the beans, but he does for Mrs. GB :)) Now, my curiousity is really peaked!! :) It's kinda fun wondering, and I bet we are all OFF haha.... Pssst, southern belle my piccie is on my profile... for now :) Except my hair is shorter now LOL:) Maybe we should all send a pic of ourselves to Gardenstew, and then let him post them, then let everyone 'name that face;) hmmmm... that might be interesting.... hehe

Anywayyy, good morning to all!! Talk to you later :)
