I didn't manage a photo, I was just thinking of getting her food out. The pileated always comes to the deck where I can see her from the kitchen windows. Today she was calling and calling and I was in the office when she came to the front of the house. She took up residence on the roof that is visible from the computer desk. I finally gave in and took her breakfast out. Next time, I'll try for a photo with her there. This is the place where she was and where she usally looks for me. Sounds like she has you well trained here the pilated woodpeckers are pretty shy. Amazing they are so comfortable with ou they will scold if they don't have their food on time
Kildale, that is soo neat. I wish I could do that with mine. I have been feeding meal worms but the blue birds get them all.I Grow my meal worms in my house just for the birds. It's best to have 7 starts going at a time. Barb in Pa.
