I can see how the Ballerina got it's name - what a beautiful flower. Your Texas Star Hibiscus would certainly make me stop and stare if I saw it as it's lovely and such a striking red.

I really have to get my Texas Star Hibiscusssesss in the ground. They are growing strong in the pots but I want blooms!! I keep forgetting to get an angel trumpet started, think I will work on that this fall.

I gave my silly old aunt one of the Angel Trumpets.She could never remember the name and kept calling it "that dancer plant". Theodoros... I have a White Dinner Plate Hibiscus. It has not bloomed yet this year. But here is a photo from last year. And they really are about the size of a plate. I kept my TX Star in a good sized container for a couple of years. It bloomed for me... but nothing like it does now since it has it's feet firmly planted in the ground.

NICE BIG blooms! I think I have that hibiscus. From seeds. Waiting for the seedlings to grow. In a pot, cause last year I moved them to the garden and they stayed 5 cm tall and died over winter.
