I'm absolutely green, and for once, it's not from envy.
Our tomatoes are coming on like crazy, and I pick daily. My hands and arms are green from the tomato foliage, and when I wash up, the soap suds are slightly green. My tee shirts all have a greenish tinge, and my kitchen towels are all green in the center where I dry my tomato-pickin' hands.
I don't mind being green--just call me Kermit!

Well Droopy, since Miss Piggy doesn't want to get her hooves dirty, I'm canning tomatoes all by myself. As Jerry says, it isn't easy being green!
I'm also freezing containers of marinara sauce. While I'm slaving over a hot stove, I'm envisioning pasta with homemade marinara sauce, Italian bread, and a nice salad in November when it finally cools off!

Heh heh heh...What a chuckle you are, MG.
The story does make me jealous though. :D
I don't know when I shall see the first tom here.

You must be getting loads of them to turn everything green.

    Congrats Kermit.

Hey there MG,, I am in the same boat as you are. I have at least 3 bushels waiting. Haven`t had time to check the Stew for days. And peas need picking. I need to call in the Army for help.

Mart, forget the Army, get a kindergarten class. The kids are close to the ground, tireless (just ask their teacher), and enthused. Best little pickers you can get, and for a nickel they'll work all day!
