we're still at 40's at night and mid 60's during the day. i over extended my self with the post pounder the other day putting in some metal posts to support my bamboo trellisses that fell down in a wind/rain storm. must've hurt a muscle in my back. a couple aspirin and 2 days of heating pad worked. all better now and raring to go! i keep telling myself to NOT DO THAT AGAIN! everything's late, but i think will do well, especially if we have a late summer, like last year. germination of corn and beans is really off this year even with brand spanking new seed?! not sure what's up with that. i have a soil thermometer and the temps has been 60 plus. luckily have extra seed to fill in the gaps. today it's 50 already and cloudy, so hope to get the toms and peppers in. everytime i went to put them in before we had thunderstorm and hail weather coming in. poor things are just dying to get outside. pics soon... neat video... I love that little video!! I remember loving those kind of films when I was in school! The other kids would moan because it was educational but I thought it was cool!!! I'm sorry to hear you hurt your back My husband has been limping around with a pulled groin muscle and of course this was the weekend he was going to build my new iris bed. I shouldn't be too hard on him~ he was getting things ready for the iris bed when he hurt himself. Gardening is hard work!!! Hugs to Pete

Maybe Pete can lie on the sore spot? I've heard that cat fur is excellent for sore muscles, and it must be double excellent with the cat still inside, yes?

Very enjoyable vid, Bunkey. I enjoyed seeing that. I REALLY enjoyed the music too. I have already had a few finger-cukes from inside my greenhouse, but nothing like this amount. Of course, they are a different kind of animal than these.

I especially like seeing your spread there. It really does look good to my eyes.You always do post interesting things to look at and read about. The pasture-land and surrounding trees are quite attractive to see. Naturally your array of fresh leaves started the show off on a good note. Good posting.
thanks for all the great comments. we're summer falling part of the back to use for more veggies and grains for us and animal feed, eventually. more pics and some of the weather we've been enjoying...NOT! here's our one solar panel that pumps water out of our well...haven't had to use it yet this year... here's our large gardens behind the cabin, in front of barn... gardens in front of cabin and milkbarn...don't you love taking pics at a distance?! makes the rows all look so straight, when they aren't... sammy exhausteed from his 'run', curls up on top of pete for a snooze... finally, scapes... and some strawberries... and some radishes... here's what we've had all spring long, and now into summer...storms comin' in... tomatoes wondering if they're ever gonna be transplanted outside... ducks' pen in rain...they didn't come out till it quit...check out the wind... garden in rain...that's our perennial wheat and rye on the top left, barley and oats below, garlic to the top right, and potatoes and corn below them... rainwater coming off roof...
I just keep scrolling up and down, enjoying your landscape and grounds. And Sammy and Pete. They seem to enjoy each other's company!
