I posted this plant earlier for identification and just wanted to share that it has survived the winters here in North Alabama with a lot of mulching. It is a beautiful plant to me, hope you enjoy the pictures. It's a beautiful plant to me too! I can't grow them here, but at least I get to look at your flowers.
One of the great advantages of GardenStew is seeing flowers in other members gardens, from all over the world!! Always exciting. Thank you FlowerLady. Jerry
What a gorgeous plant!! Sadly I can't grow it here either but I'm so glad you allowed us to see your photograph. :-D
Hi, I agree, they are just lovely trees. The lorrikeets here love the nectar and have been known to get drunk on it.Even to the point of not being able to fly for a while!
Hello, Sorry I have not been on for awhile and didn't know there was questions about this plant. No, it doesn't have an odor, and I think we had a few days with temperatures from 5-10 degrees. But on the whole it was a mild winter this past year but the year before we had more cold weather and longer periods of cold dipping down to zero a few times if I remember correctly. I just hope it will survive this year; the trunk has gotten to be a good size so I will need more mulch to keep it warm. Thank you, flowerlady
