Well Tooty, the beauty of the mix bread is she has the face of the Shepherd but the short hair of the Cattledog so I don't have that much hair. We still get some but I think I get more shedding off my long haired cat then I do the dog. But we have hard wood floors and tile throughout the house so that is much easier then the carpet I had at the old house as far as cleaning goes. I'd love to see a pic of your dog, she/he sounds very cute. Here is my Kallie
tschnath: That is one good thing about being short haired and having little to no carpet. She has some really neat colors and is a sweet looking dog. Ok here is a pic of my little Tootsie. Thus my Stew name of Tooty2shoes. Have a great day. Lets go for a boat ride. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden )
Coming from a person who owned 5 pet shops, we had no dogs or cats, I can say I really love all pets. My customers used to marvel at me, when they brought their baby animals in and I smothered them with kisses. Not the customers but their pets. When I gave them their FREE wing clips or toe nail clippings or whatever they needed for that day, they got a great big scmoosh from me. Hamsters and hedge hogs, and birds, big and small. I have 2 dogs and love them dearly. They, especially are close to me, after I lost my daughter, but I am a bird person. I love the inside ones and the outside ones. At one time about 35 years ago, I could lay out in the sun in my lawn chair and have about 7 different kind of birds land on me and fluff out their feathers basking with me for hours. I raised and released so many many birds. They were so thankful and full of love it was wonderful until they grew up and bonded with a real mate. That was very cool to watch. Barb in Pa.
Barb sounds like you have had some really neat animal experiences. I am a animal lover also. Thanks for sharing those neat experiences with us.
You know tootsie2shoes, I really do think all the birdies are very fortunate. I got every one of them on craigslist ( for free), from people who had no time for them & a couple of them were being kept in hideous conditions. Now, they all live the life of Riley & i'm so happy to give them all the best of everything & loads of love & attention. You'd be amazed how they come out of their shell when shown love & attention.
Hey Tooty, you don't have to ask me twice Here's Oubee lazing around in my untidy garden: Oubee ( photo / image / picture from oubee's Garden ) And here are 2 pics of Oubee's blue-eyed offspring, Hannah. Hannah ( photo / image / picture from oubee's Garden ) Hannah ( photo / image / picture from oubee's Garden )
Hannah is a calico! Oh, you lucky person, you. Calicos are sweet, gentle, full of personality and are probably the best owners a person can have (yes, cats have staff, dogs have owners). Our calico Feliz is 12 next month, and has been a delight and source of amazement all her life. Oubee, your cats are lovely (and your garden isn't messy at all!).
Awww, thanks Marlin! Ya, she's a sweetheart and I don't mind her bossing around Aye, I know better about my garden and mum's always complaining about having to wash the red soil off my clothes haha! Holidays are around the corner and I'll do something about it.
Oubee those are some cute Cat's. I love the blue eyes. Thank you for sharing them with us. Have a great day.
