Wow! They all look great!! The earwigs got to my shasta daisies :-x They managed to bloom but look kind of bedraggled
I love all of your flowers. They are so beautiful. I don't have many flowers this year. It's been hot and humid since April and I twisted my knee at the wrong time. I'm getting back to normal but it sure put a damper on my gardening this year. dooley
Jewell--Your flowers are gorgeous! I particularly like the speedwell-bee balm combination. How tall are your bee balm? I am amazed that there is s speedwell (veronica?) that grows as tall as a bee balm.
Stratsmom, sorry to hear about your Shasta daisies. They are a hardy bunch though. CM, I bought these as bare root plants from a national nursery and they were labeled Veronica spicata 'Ulster Blue Dwarf' (Speedwell). If these are the "dwarf" I don't care to see the normal sized. This is the second year of blooms from them and they have maintained their size. Unfortunately everything else has also stretched to almost as tall. Cool weather with over cast days has made for extreme growing conditions. Dooley, so sorry to hear about your garden this year. As a new garden it was looking incredible last year. Thanks Netty and Cherylad. The phlox are just beginning to bloom, but are so tall that I need to get on a ladder to see them properly. The smell is soooo good though. This is the 3rd year for my bare root phlox and I will finally get to see all their colors in full bloom. Just wish I had researched that Chelsea chop/pruning technique.
So pretty! Just a question: my Shasta Daisies smell so awful but I guess the sight of them is enough to offset that
