I've been itching to get back into piano performing (I've taken a few years off), so I applied for an accompanist job for the vocal department at a local high school. Just found out I got the job! It won't interfere with my piano teaching since I'll be done by 1:30, and the timing couldn't be better to help pay for all our home improvements. Can you tell I'm excited? :-D
Many congratulations Pianolady!! I don't know how you're going to fit the new job into your busy life but I'm sure you will - after all you're a woman!! Have fun.
Congrats, PL! I don't know if you have time for more piano students, but if so, I bet being the accompanist will bring them.
I would like to hear you play. And Congrats on your new job. Please play any songs with "Rain Drops in it"
Congrats, best wishes, and you are a lucky Pianolady to find an job opening in this day. RE: koszta kid, "Rain Drops in it". VERY GOOD Barb in Pa.
Thanks everyone! Alright, I had to go downstairs and find something rainy to play out of the music cabinet. I can imagine you all twirling around doing an interpretive dance to this piece! I played this better when I was 12...but that was with practice, so ignore the mistakes. Rain Music
APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE! ! ! ! Thank you, PL... Kind of strange thing happened here, as I was reading down through the posts I was thinking, 'I wish there was some way that PL could play for us..' then 'viola!' there was your link to a media player file... Good work, I enjoyed your playing very much, listened to it more than once.. Hank
What a talent!! It takes me all my time to bash out 'Chopsticks' on a piano. I'm off to listen to your playing all over again.
