The babies have buds! 7/22/12 ( photo / image / picture from stratsmom's Garden ) Patience has paid off.... The babies are blooming!!!! 8/4 ( photo / image / picture from stratsmom's Garden ) I am proud to say, Thanks to all of you, all 10 seeds germinated!! Such good advice you gave
Those look fantastic! I had no idea you could grow Geraniums from seed and they would bloom first year. I always though you had to wait until the second year for blooms. Great job
I agree....those geraniums look great and it is interesting to see them growing. I have tried saving some plants over winter but most never made it so I just gave up and bought new ones each spring...this year seems to be a good time for growing them. thanks for sharing.
You have done a mahvelous job, dahling. Those geraniums are looking so good. Will you continue with your seed planting? I wonder what you would do next. You did good.
Boy you did great. I didn't know you could grow them from seed. I know lady who has Root room in her new house. Has had same plants for 15 years-shakes all dirt off and put in box.Huge plants
Thanks everyone! :-D I am pretty proud of myself and plan to try it again next year. However, I am going to start a lot sooner! I tell you, the heating pad was the magic potion! Now that I know it is doable I'm going to look for a few special seeds. I really, really want "Mr. Wren" & "Apple blossom" and will research the tulip type I watched a youtube video about starting hostas from seed.....
I would like to grow more plants from seed.A place where Maddie Mae -the cat doesn't play with dirt.Don't have many house plants because of her.
I love the pink colour of your Geraniums, very pretty. Are you going to try to overwinter them? Would you have to bring them inside to do that?
