He killed pair of Manderin Ducks, Cortunix Quale, Lady Anhurst pheasant and Copper Marans. Took us 3 nights go get him.

We just don't know what he is? Anyone know?

Barb, that looks like a weasel. Weasels are terrible predators--will kill for fun as well as food.
Fortunately, they are not "pack" animals, and usually are loners, or two at the most.
I'm so sorry for your losses. I don't know what the best preventive is.

Looks like a Mink, catch enough and you can make a coat. You may have enough to make a mink collar.

Looks like a mink. They like to suck the blood from poultry.

Kevin thinks it is a weasel. I think I would agree with him, but either way I am glad you "got" it. A dead one is a good one! Is always my motto! Sorry you lost your birds!

The dark colouring and size suggest that it is a mink. The body and head shape are too broad for it to be a weasel.
They used to cause so much destruction among the hens here abouts until they were trapped and disposed of. One farmer lost a total of fifty hens to these animals and he hasn't had the heart to build up his flock again since. :(

Hubby Googled it and he thinks it's a mink. It has no white belly as weasels have.

Whatever it is, glad you got rid of it before it ate any more of your feathered-friends.

We had a fisher here and they are horrid creatures, it killed and ate every stray cat in the area. Minks will swim, not sure if a fisher will, that fella looks wet?
