The extra material required for a bigger sized guy doesn't justify that amount of money!! No way!!

I had one of my fingers over one of the 0's. Got one all most like it at Garage sale $2.Friday while shopping-seen neck scarf $89.Think will make my own.get sewing machine fixed. But also seen jeans all over them+ safety pins--$100 on up. IHave plenty of them. Call them gardening Duds.

I loathe shopping for clothing! I agree, prices are ridiculous, especially for the quality of the fabric and the sewing. And why do manufacturers insist on putting scratchy tags on the neck of shirts and blouses?
Considering the above rant, can you guess the state of my "wardrobe"?

OH, Jane....I despise shopping, too. I spend next to nothing on my wardrobe... I am always checking goodwill since it isn't too far down the road and I am always muddy/dirty why bother with nice things?...last night I took one of my boys to Kohls, He got dress pants and a shirt, I got a vacuum sweeper ( since I had kohls cash and a 20% coupon) and then we went to Lowe's (right next door) for blueberry bushes for me. I got 9 new blueberries since the went on clearance for $7.00 each. Now I can go out and get all dirty planting them. See? no need for nice clothes here.

Carolyn, I knew you were a woman after my own heart! I can spend hours at a nursery, or hardware store, or lumber yard, and about 10 minutes in a dress shop. I go in, ask where the "whatever" is, look it over and if I find something wearable, try it on quickly and get out of there!
If it weren't for Belk's and on-line shopping, we'd have Red Gate Nudist Colony instead of Farm!
Koszta, I'm with you. I have expensive boots (well, they were expensive ten years ago when I bought them) for working around here, and two pairs of "town shoes" for church and the rare occasion when I can't wear sandals or my work boots!

That's why I do most of my clothes shopping at thrift stores...let someone else pay the ridiculously high price, get tired of it, give it away and I get to buy it for less than $10

Jane, I fear it would be a similar situation here, too.... My oh my, wouldn't the neighbors be shocked!!!(especially since it is my in-laws) It gets cold here so the nuddy thing would only last a short time and then I would be forced to put on the good clothes just to be warm . Even my shoes aren't of really great investment. Nothing makes my feet feel like I am walking on clouds...my feet scream the instant I get out of bed in the morning....I have Ariat boots, Borne shoes, Sketchers, cheap tennies...nothing feels good and bare feet feel the best...so I don't worry about spending much money on shoes either.

    That's insane, I didn't think B & T's clothing was that expensive? Wow, that's crazy.

Maybe some professionals or rich folks would buy clothes that cost that much. Not me though...I am much too thrifty :)

That's a great thing to do with the unwanted clothes. It's nice that someone else will benefit from having them.

The thrift shop here in town had all the summer clothes on sale for 25 cents each this week. I bought 10 pairs of long pants for $2.50. Two pair were a bit small but I have 8 pairs that fit great. A couple are really summery lightweight but the others are just the heavy cotton that I wear all year around. They didn't have any denims in my size, darn it. Brian washed them all today and now I have to clean some dresser drawers to put them away. Maybe I'll take some stuff to the thrift stop.
