Pictures are of Myrtle beach,SC. Not much sun all week, so never got to hot.I could sit and watch and listen to the waves forever. I did get to see the migration of monarch butterflies while sitting on the beach. Thousands flew over all day every day. Tryed to get pics but all blurred. And of course my plant finds were a big plus. They are Jasmine snow-n-summer, oakleaf hydrangea, variegated lace cap hydrania, hibiscus kopper king and blue mexican petunia. And what a difference a week makes in the garden. Came home to some very pretty flowers. These cooler temps are helping a lot now. Last pic is of new walkway hubby put down Sat. I planted spinach ans radishes to the left of walk. The beach shots looked really good. What luck to be able to see the migrating monarchs. You managed to come back with some very nice plants for your garden. Do you know yet where they will all go? Your garden is looking quite nice, I must say. The moon plant and the "lost walkway" with all those orangy-yellow flowers. Superb. Last, but not least a BIG compliment to you for the laying of that spiffy walkway in your garden. The raised beds are looking good as well. Full marks all round.
Ahh a woman after my own heart. When I go on vacation plants just seem to beg me to take them home with me - who can ignore them? Wonderful photographs Donna especially those sunsets and white, sandy beaches. Many thanks.
Donna S, I haven't been to Myrtle Beach in 40 years. The beach hasn't changed a bit. I have been told the town has changed even more than when I first visited there in the 50's to the 70's. Is that Maple Tree sharing it's pot with the Hydrangea? You sound like my hubby and me. When we go anywhere we start with an empty car and by the time we get home, we would have only space for us in that old car. Gardens look very good. Now let's get a planting girl.......
Love the beach photos... I promised myself that I was going to head to the beach at least a couple times this summer... but... never got around to it. :'( I'd love to be able to see the Monarch migrate. I bet that's a wonderful sight. Glad you found some great "souvenirs"... they look healthy. And right from vacation to work in the garden. :-D That pathway looks great and so does your garden.
Retake on new plants. These are what you are seeing in the first photos. Oakleaf hydrangea & Hibiscus kopper king ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Jasmine, mexican petunia & variegated hydrangea ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden )
Just look at that guy fishing his little heart out.....on picture one......Wish I was him at the moment....
