Show Off Your Very Unusual Containers..Sinks, Toilets, etc!

What are you going to do with the tractor seat? I have one and just can't figure out what to do with it :-?

 

I have porch post got broke off in wind this summer.Might get post hole digger out and screw seat to it. And have it hold a flower pot. :?: :?:

Hubby found it under the back porch... I wonder how many mornings my mom and dad started the day off with a cup of coffee from that thing?

I've not done anything too adventurous before though you all may have inspired me now

I have seen an old bicycle with a basket at the front being used as a planter before, thought that was quite unusual.

 

Over the winter I was cleaning out the kitchen cabinets and ran across this old microwave popcorn popper.

Knowing that I would never use it for it's original intention, it found it's way over to the gardening stuff.
And now it's a great plant starter!

An old water can that holds some water iris.

 

WOW. Great ideas. So far, I have 3 washing machine tubs with various plants in them. I have a wicker magazine rack with my lavender in it. The hens and chicks got too big for it, so I put them under my dogwood tree to spread out. I have old metal tubs with plants in them. And old plastic tubs and buckets that have sprung leaks. And an old metal trash can with no bottom out by the compost heap. I think I will put tomatoes in it this year. I have an assortment of regular flower pots around my yard with stuff in them. Oh, I almost forgot! I have creeping sedum in my pink bird cage hanging from the front porch. It gets yellow flowers when it blooms. And then there is an old blue wading pool with flowers in it, but it is falling apart, so will have to make new sides for it. It was for my granddaughter when she was little.

Indoors, I have a leaky enamel ware coffee pot with golden pothos in it.

And some other baskets too! I love planting in odd containers.

I forgot... I also have a cholla cactus planted in an old broken spreader...

 

I like your spreader. I have one similar just sitting in the storage building. And every year I almost drag it out and plant it up. But I keep putting it back in case I actually need it for it's original purpose one day. 8)

 

This spreader is cracked, and the wheels are rusted tight, and will not roll any more, so it was no use saving it for its intended purpose. And my son bought us a new one for those times we actually need a spreader.

I am so inspired by all the beautiful container pictures. I got this one from a garage sale last weekend for 25cents
Now I need suggestions on what will look best in this beautiful container?

I like it! Is it wood or metal? Or both? (don't forget to drill some holes for drainage)
For some reason, I'm seeing it full of a variety of succulents.

 

It is wood. Yeah, will drill holes in it. I have 2 succulent containers. Is there anything else that you think will look good in this?
