One of my Customer has good luck growing them inside.She was told most likely wouldn't bloom again-that was 5 years ago.When they are gone. I water the plants.And not to over water them. She has thick wood mulch on hers.Just was at their house today.It sure is pretty.

 

i've killed a whole field of these things!!! would love any tips to keep them blooming. . . . the one i have this year seems to be lasting alot longer. . .i've placed the pot on a bowl of pebbles and i water them rather than the pot itself. . . seems to be doing some good :-D

I've got a really pretty little orchid I got for only £2.50 in a local market! I keep it indoors and make sure it's not overwatered and cut the stem right back after it's finished flowering. I keep it near the window but not too close, so it gets light but not too concentrated sunlight and stays out of draughts.

I've never used those orchid liquid feed drops and mine has always been fine.

 

Orchids are a very large family with many kinds, each species has many subspecies, in a nutshell, each plant has different needs,,, I have and I had too many items but many did not live in my hands, the mistake was that these plants want to live firmly in one part is a good idea to be a small greenhouse with around the Appliances,,,

But there easily orchid species, like the one that has , which is Dendrobium falaenopsis,,
What I do is I winter I put the plants in eastern window at temperatures no lower than fifteen degrees Celsius, late spring Remove the plants out of the house in a shady place
the winter watered once a week while in summer the watered twice a week, I've also planted in substrates from wood pieces, and give them fertilizer once a month..
I make them for orchids Dendrobium falaenopsis, in my other orchids care providers who are different, eg in other substrate only for I have also some moss I have them planted in pots with Too Many Holes etc.

 

I got a few simple tips to share with orchids based on my experience.

- Avoid wetting their leaves. If this can't be avoided, you must dry it quickly with using a cloth, tissue or cotton ball.

- Do not let water get in contact with the base of your orchid pot.

-Orchids do not like too much sun. Avoid exposing them and better place them in a shady area.

-When a flower dies, cut the stalk of it and continue to care for the plant as it may still sprout new flowers.
