That's the great thing about having members from Oz, you can share colour even when others cannot Gorgeous blooms Chocolate.
The only cacti that I've seen in flower are either grafted ones or the ones in our Botanical gardens. It's so nice to see so many varieties blooming in your garden Chocolate.
I have some like the one in your 2nd photo. But it's never bloomed for me. :'( There's just something about seeing a cactus bloom! I love the way you have them displayed on the wire wall.
I have some too that have never flowered, ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) Description is...UGLY ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) Flapjacks ( photo / image / picture from chocolate's Garden ) I know some of these are not true cactus, but they all live together happily and dont worry about who lives with who.
Those are some exciting plants and blooms, Chocolate. You must have good climatic conditions there. I am glad that summer is beginning for you there
Great photos of your beauties Choc! I wish I could come there for more summer! Saying good bye to it here and ushering in the cold months. :'( I will look forward to your photos during your summer season OK?
Very nice blooms. And even the stubborn ones still look great! Oh, in case you don't know and wonder, the last-but-one is a Faucaria. I also got it. No blooms yet. Should be yellow (which is not really my color) but I like the plant!
Thanks everyone, Calin..thankyou for the name, and the colour yellow is not used in the garden here or my wardrobe or in the house. Ever since I was a small child I have shunned the colour yellow, I get a bad feeling about it. Even as a toddler if the bedsheets were yellow I would take them off for no good reason.
I like them all... even the "ugly" one. Also... the one in the third photos is African Milk Tree Euphorbia trigona. I originally got mine nearly 30 years ago. Almost lost it to freezing temps... only one little leaf survived... but now it's back to around 4 foot tall! Needless to say, it gets extra care taken care of it.
