I have had this plant for three years. it has three large broad leaves and almost no stem.the leaves are not serrated just very big and broad. I would give pictures but the camera broke. :'(
Since you have no photos, how about more information. How large are the leaves in inches. Is the plant a shrub, tree, vine. Does it die back in winter or stay evergreen? Does it produce flowers or berries of any kind, if so what color are they. How tall and wide is the plant itself. Are the leaves and stems both green or different colors. Are the stems square or round, smooth or fuzzy. Does it have only 3 leaves or are there three leaves in each grouping with other groupings on the plant? Oh, yeah, where are you located? The country, state and/or planting zone will help a lot too.
the plant is just a plant. it lives in a pot on my windowsill.it only has three smooth, green, leaves, the largest is 27 in long and 2 1/2 in wide. the stem has layers of brown dead plant matter on it and is 2 in high.
Okay, knowing it's a houseplant clears up some of the confusion. Could be what Cheryl suggested... Dracaena fragrans (Corn Plant)
doesn't sound like either to me. You say almost not stem? How thick are the leaves? and do what color are they exactly?
sorry, I was in a hurry. I found out the plant grows from a bulb. I found this out when I got an amaryllis bulb and recognized the similarity. still no pictures.
Well that's a start! Knowing what state you are in may help. Maybe there's too much shade around it to get a bloom, if it is a bulb that should make one.
We must see a pic to tell you surely but i think it is colocasia. It is very common and is with 3 leaves :d and is grown in pots :d
I have an alocasia and a colocasia and they both have pretty big stems. What shape are the leaves exactly? And how thick are the leaves? Tough and sturdy, or thin and fragile?
