Well, it is great knowing you will be giving your house a good make over. Painting the house is a great way to enhance its appearance. Apart from painting you can indulge in DIY projects to spice up your house on a budget. I really love the pictures you have taken and your house now seems perfect for settling in.

    Wasn't Quite Done...

Yesteday we finished up the last step on the deck, staining the deck. We had to wait for a time between seeds spitting off the trees and leaf drop, so this weekend seemed perfect. It really wasn't too difficult, which is good as we'll probably be doing it every 2-3 years. Now my husband wants to build a 2nd deck for the grill behind the garage. We'll see if he actually does it. :-D

Nice job. It will be nice to sit out there during a cool Summer evening.

So what rooms do you get to when you enter those doors?

Thanks! The lower door goes to the piano studio, upper door goes to the stairway to the basement adjacent to the kitchen.

You and your husband have done a marvellous job on your home and it's looking really fantastic. I like the colour of the stain you chose as it compliments the house so well. What a lovely place to spend time simply taking things easy and enjoying the view of your garden. :D

How nice. I think of the things of welcoming on the lower level and the upper could have an umbrella with two chairs waiting for your hubby and you to sit out there. Maybe a covered magazine "thingie" with Popular Mechanics or Motor Trend for hubby and Birds and Bloom waiting for you to enjoy the evening. Pots of flowers all along the railing would top it off to perfection.

    How's that? :D :D I could be there......
