I think Theodoros needs a greenhouse. Not for his plants... but a place for his family to live in the winter when all those plants move in the house.
Wow. A lot of beautiful plants. Have you thought about building a winter garden. It looks like you love plants and maybe you need good place for them in the winter.
thank you very very much Barb :-D Cheryl I laughed very much thank you very very much mepooooo :-D It is very difficult to build a large winter garden :-? thank you very very much Carolyn :-D will stay inside the house until the end of March :-D I put today and other plants in the house Anthurium schlechtendalii[It is a plant from seed in the spring 2011] Philodendron martianum[It is a plant from seed in the spring 2011] Nematanthus gregarius Ficus benjamina Platycerium bifurcatum
Really love looking at your plants! It looks like Saturday night will be our first frost, not looking forward to the work, but I do like having the plants inside once the move is finished. Just wish I had so many nice big windows. Nice!
Here is a hint to correct leaf dropping on Ficus. AS soon as you move it anywhere begin to spray it's leaves with water. About 2 times a day for about 5 days. It should not loose one leaf.
thank you very very much purpleinopp :-D In my area is slow in coming frost.............Years ago I lived in a town that was very cold, I remember I had many problems with the plants, ? understand you.... Carolyn Each winter the Ficus loses many leaves, but in spring come new leaves ,, frankly I do not know how that says Barb{great idea} :-D :-D and other plants Aphelandra squarrosa Beaucarnea recurvata Callisia fragrans and sapwood with plants Tillandsias
What a beautiful indoor garden they all make once they're inside. Got a question - your ficus binnendijkii - is that the same as a F. alii, did the name-changers change this one (curse you, name-changers), or is it a close relative? Also, Waretrop, do you have any idea why the spraying would prevent benjamina from dropping its leaves?
theficuswrangler, Hayyyy, Great name...... No idea about spraying water but it has worked every time that I have done it. Then I get careless and skip that step and they drop off. I saturate the branches and leaves. After even a couple of days I will glide my hands over the branches and not a leaf falls off. REALLY!!!!!
That's awesomely cool, Barb. Hey, FW. I am SO with you on cursing the name-changers!!! Theodorus, I LOVE your Aphelandra squarrosa. How pretty! That Callisia is amazing! Looks like it is very heavy too. Does it flower? Your tree with Tillandsias is really inspiring. Loved your pics!
thank you very much theficuswrangler :-D yes theficuswrangler is the same, the name changes every day,, one greater than the changes made to the families of the cactus and the orchid, just learn a name after time change :-D :-D Barb to say again your idea is amazing :-D :-D thank you very much purpleinopp :-D the Callisia Until now there has not blossomed......... All plants Tillandsias are truly only the sapwood is dead :-D new plant inside Begonia It's time to get inside and Birds Gouldian along with the plants Medinilla magnifica the beginning of flowering Also a small plant Spathiphyllum
