We've had a grey and miserable week so I had a look for a bit of colour in our garden. This is what I found: Clematis Cirrosa 'freckles' ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Lichen on flowering cherry ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Oak ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Acer ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden )
What an attractive clematis. How long does it flower for and is it frost hardy? I'd love to grow it up here in Scotland.
It is isn't it. It will flower from now on for a good 2 or 3 months. It is really hardy-it lasted through our -18 and below last winter. In the past I used to cut it right down but I haven't done so for a couple of years.
