Thank you all for comments.I think the Swinging Linda Coleus is my all time fav.The variegated fuchsia is hard to find here.I have seen it offered as a large plant at a very high price. sNs
It is so very nice to see green and all the colors on this little downtime. What a pleasure, sewNsow. Thank you.
Here are a couple more pictures I took yesterday. Green & white variegated Irisene. And Mahogany Giant Hibiscus blooming as a cutting. This would be a stunner if it would bloom outside as a 6 feet tall plant in garden. sNs in greenhouse Dec 2012 ( photo / image / picture from sewNsow's Garden ) in greenhouse Dec 2012 ( photo / image / picture from sewNsow's Garden )
SNS How do heat your green house ? Been hinting to make one in our mud room. But only have one smaller size south window. Got pipe installed. and got extra wood burner.got 4 big container in there now. But love your colors-think that would make winter go by faster.Even though not been bad so far.
Hi KK,We heat the greenhouse with a little woodstove. The stove is on an enclosed entry porch.Just have open window & door & heat goes out. This is all off our kitchen. I don't know how much light you would get with no southern exposure. You guys are so handy you could do it on the cheap. You will never regret getting a plant space or greenhouse. It can be 10 below & you walk out there & it is just like summer(on sunny day ,of course LOL). sNs
