Don't laugh and don't compare it with what your area gets in a winter. But remember this happened in the Dallas area, of Texas, after two miserable hot and dry summers and the 5th driest Autumn in recorded weather history in north Texas. It SNOWED this morning. :-D :-o Not much but it snowed this morning ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) See it on the ground and the Ligustrum on the left? ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Not much but it did snow!!! ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) 'scuse me but I have some walking through the snow to do. Won't take long, not much there and it's only 28 degrees out there
YAY! Good for you Toni! I know how much you love the snow. And just so you know ... it might not be MUCH, but it is more than I have here in southern Ontario right now!
Toni, I'm glad you got some snow, since you enjoy it so. I am also glad we did not, since I've had enough snow in my life already. Enjoy your snowy stroll!
I'm extremely glad that you got the snow, Toni! I can do without it. We were on the edge of the storm system. We only got .29 inches of rain and several miles of wind. dooley
Randy works from home and has a 5 second commute down the hallway every morning about 6:45. Last night he asked if I wanted him to wake me up if it snowed this morning.....do bears dance in the woods when no one is looking????... of course I do!!! So I was out front in the darkish early morning camera in hand, flash flashing while the neighbors were driving off to work and looking at the crazy neighbor out at it again. The sky is totally cloud free now but our house faces west so the sun won't hit the front and melt it all away for another 2-3 hours. It's still 28 deg with a wind chill of 21. Ahhhhhhh, winter weather...I'm loving it!
I guess, coming from Scotland, I don't find snow very exciting any more. I'm so glad you got some though Toni as I know how much you love it. Here's to your next snowfall - may it lie for at least a few days. :-D
Well good for you Toni.We may have gotten a few flakes but I didn't see any. I will take all we can get & not complain.Even heavy snow up north can help replenish our streams. Weather guy said snow will do little to add to sub soil moisture but it will add to water levels. He also said unless we get a lot of early spring rains crops next year will depend on timely rains & the chances of that are next to 0.Sad indeed! sNs
Oh, It was a little warmer than that here. This morning it was almost 50. The temperature fell steadily throughout the day. It is now about 30f. After being out in it all day working on another high tunnel I am delighted to come in where it is warm.
