I have tried in many ways to get some to grow and it didn't happen. I should try again now that it is Winter. I did get it to sprout in a very wet napkin and that's as far as I got with it.
It is encouraging that you made it to first steps. I was thinking to try to get moisture like your wet napkin by putting a little peat moss near the seeds, and protecting them from critters by wrapping with window screen or hardware cloth. And to do it on a fairly low branch so it is easy to look at. I think it will be almost May and getting pretty warm by the time I will be back to the Ozarks. Hope that doesn't fry them. Try doing it like Carfolyn said,,Just squash the seeds on a tree limb. The sticky stuff should hold the seeds to the limb. Then wait. Birds eat them then poop on the tree , thats how they get them on the limb.
