My brother "The Dragon" will be setting sail to join up with my other brother on their 'round-the-world adventure in the next few days. He had to come to the house tonight pick up some official papers that finally arrived in the mail before he shoves off.
Did you know that "dragons" have a sweet tooth? Well... this one sure does! So, I picked the remaining ripe Kumquats and made him a "Tropical Kumquat Cake" (almonds, pecans & pineapple were included in the recipe).

And my timing was perfect. He showed up just as it was cool enough to cut. "Ohhhhhhh..... cake.... still warm.... yummmm!" he exclaimed as he dug into a big hunk of it.

Give him TWO bits to take with him and tell him I'll make him a cuppa if he brings one to me. I can almost smell it from here and my teeth are watering.

Thanks everyone for the nice words. And suprisingly, it isn't super sweet... just sweet enough. :-D
Wish he had a bigger freezer on the boat so he could some to everyone! Will try to see if he can bring a slice to the other brother. Surely it can last a month in the freezer?
