    Now I can see what people mean when they say you have the eyes of a hawk. He will be able to catch the slightst movement and be able to act on it so that he can feed himself and his family.

    Nice picture, But I still don't like hawks. They are hard on my chickens.

    We have Redtail Hawks around here and my dad always called them chicken hawks!

    Yes that is a beautiful hawk. I love watching the Red Tails sore about during the summer. But I to do not like to see them show up in my yard. Especially for the birds sake.

    Carolyn you are so right about being hard on chickens. When we did have chicken I kept them in a 6ft. high fenced in area. The fence was buried 2ft in the ground to keep those digging critters away from my chicky girls. But alas :( my fence was open on top. One day when we where gone a hawk flew in. Stuff like that always happens when one is gone. Attacked the chickens leaving a half eaten carcass from the one it did catch, and scratches on another ones shoulders it tried to catch. :eek: Poor girls where so scared after that, that they hide in their coop for 2wks. During that time they would only come out when I was there. Poor girls.
