Spring was literally in the air yesterday: hundreds of cranes flew over my house, a total of 4 large groups. I'd never seen them before, but I knew their unmistakeable sound from radio & tv. It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes! Unfortunately silly me forgot to take pictures, only thought of that afterwards
To compensate, here are some "springy" photo's I took in my garden.

    Lovely crocuses, GE.
Have you seen any bees on them yet?

    Thanks everyone!
Yes, Sjoerd, today, whilst working in the front garden, there were a few bees busily buzzing on the crocuses. Amazing little creatures, aren't they, they pollinate our plants & give us lovely honey! :stew1:

Cute, cute... spring is here too but this weekend it's gonna rain and next week freezing temps are supposed to be back.
    Is this a European trend?

I keep coming back to look at those blueish crocuses of yours...just breathtaking.

This is a signal to myself that perhaps I should keep my eyes open next year for a bag of these gems.

Sjoerd, indoors I can only see those crocuses from my hallway window, so that's where I find myself going a lot these days, just to look at them :) . No idea what type of crocus they are, they were planted by one of the previous tenants. Lucky me!

Calin: yes, unfortunately those freezing weather-conditions are forecast for quite a number of European countries, The Netherlands included. Didn't stop me from potting up some newly bought thyme, heleniums & geums today, though.
If things get too cold, I can always (read: mustn't forget to :D ) take them indoors.

Oh yes, nearly forgot: saw the first bumblebee of this year today :-D
