    But not to gardening -

I was one of those kids at 7 who took her mom's trowel in the basket of her banana bike and gleaned old daffodils from foundation plantings in vacant lots in Upstate New York. :stew1:

My latest garden needs a bit of help in the diversity category and because it's not my property and my landlord doesn't reimburse I hate to spend anymore money than I 'have to'. Happy to trade, send bare roots, seeds....

SEEKING: Turk's Cap Lilies to plant near my Licorice plant and old variety of Columbine (orange and yellow) and Spiderwort in the bed shown under development last summer in the attached image. Can you help???

    Delighted to be here.
    Terri

Welcome to the Stew, Terry. :stew1: May your stay here be long and happy. I'm sorry I can't trade plants with you. I'm in Norway and the authorities are ever so strict, both on your side and mine. :D

Good luck with your new flower bed.

Hi Droopy - Thank you for your kind welcome! Don't you just hate "invasive species" police? Spoiled sports!
    Best,

Hi Terri and a warm welcome to GardenStew from a very cold and snowy Scotland.
Like Droopy I can't trade with you either but hope you find some advice and plants to fill in the bed you have shown us.

Hi Terri, Welcome to GardenStew from Chelmsford, MA. Right now the garden is under a foot of snow and spring planting has been moved to 'who knows when.' In the mean time we can enjoy the garden treasures of the southern realms. Welcome aboard.

    Resting on my snow shovel,
    Jerry

Welcome TeresaFritschi from Rochester. I have a soft spot in my heart for your town. I spent some time there when I was very young.

Let's see what you do this Summer. We would love to see photos.

Hi Teresa, I'm new also, I am sorry that I don't have anything that you are needing. Hope someone here on the Stew can help you. Some of those can be started from seed, although may be too late this season if they need cold to germinate.

Hi and welcome from SE Texas. Can't wait to see how your beds fill up.
Also... try putting a posting in the plant/seed exchange forum where more folks are likely to see your request.

Hi! Welcome to the Stew. I was born in the 'burbs of Buffalo & my family still own a camp out that way. The winters are fierce, aren't they? Hope you enjoy this site.
