Shiny green leaves, self starter

    I uprooted this plant last weekend. Now I am not sure if I threw away something I would want.
    Can anyone identify this plant?

    I can't see if the leaves are opposite or not. Prunus?

    Looks like the Bradford Pear saplings that randomly sprout around my yard.

    No, don't think it is the pear. The leaves does look similar to Prunus though.

    I don't think it is a B C Pear, either. I have them and totally despise them....these leaves are way too large and elliptical. I think it is a weed, though. You can pot it up if you want and see what it becomes. If it is a weed easy to get rid of and if it is a desirable plant easy enough to gently replant.
