For the last 10 years I have been trying to get bluebirds to nest in my bluebird houses. The sparrows always "rented" the houses. I have seven wooden bluebird houses and many gourd bluebird houses. Bluebirds like a one and one-half inch hole and 4 inches floor.

I finally have a family and including babies. I tried to get a good photo but "Dad" did not like me standing near his home. He is on the roof with a bug in his mouth.

I am so glad for you Don. I have tons of bluebirds that nest around my property. I but out a bowl of fresh home grown meal worms every day now. At the beginning they weren't happy when I served them but now they understand I am just delivering goodies.

Aren't they beautiful to have around???

Don is there any chance you could post the picture again only bigger? I can't see much in the one you posted as it's only thumbnail size.

Thanks for the enlarged photograph Don. :-D Now I can clearly see the male on the roof. I hope your Bluebirds manage to raise a family in safety and that the young develop well and fledge successfully.
