Remember that metal shelf I found recently for sale on the side of the road of a place going out of business?
Well... they had another one set out and I did a quick U-turn to get it.

Same story... some rust and flaking paint.
Nothing that some sanding and brushing and some spray paint couldn't handle.

Well.. the styles are completely different, but with the same color paint, I don't think it looks too bad.

Great find. I wish I could find deals like that on the side of the road.

I could do with finding something like that around here. Sadly, in all the years I've lived here, nothing like that has ever been put out on the roadside. :(

Jewell.... I have some other similar shelves that I got over 25 years ago. They were indoors for about 10 years. They've had several paint jobs and I noticed rust on them just the other day. Guess it's time to scrape and paint them again. Hopefully this one will last just as long!

Jerry... I'm always keeping an eye out for metal shelving/racks. Especially since those wooden one's are starting to rot.

Eileen... you should make a special trip here just to ride around and see what you could find!

Frank... No telling what will end up there. But it's working pretty good for a place to put new "starts". I'm going to be donating some plants this Fall for a Silent Auction at the church... so I've been dividing things and setting them there. Maybe it will just become a "nursery".

Philip... I have no clue what kind of fern those are. They were given to me. I can take a closer photo if you care to ID it?

    Thanks Donna and everyone!

That's a neat looking fern Philip. But it's not mine.
Here's what they looked like a couple years ago.

Cheryl, your roadsides are obviously better than our roadsides! I ditto Eileen's remark, and I'm green with envy. Those are very good looking shelves (now).

Cheryl, It is so nice to see something reused/recycled and not tossed in a landfill. Great job snagging and refinishing it.
