I've just been hearing about this on the news and I sincerely hope that everyone on the Stew is safe and well and with their loved ones.
Such devastation and loss of life. If you live in that area please check in so that we know you're OK.
My granddaughter lives near where the tornado hit, and her half sister [not related to me] had to be rescued from her school. Thankfully, they are safe. DIL has family there, and she said they posted as safe too.
My granddaughter says she is working with our church agency and helping with the cleanup efforts. I am glad she gets a chance to be useful and help people. [So many teens nowadays only think of themselves.]
@ AAnightowl. That's really cool that your grandaughter is helping. A lot of the city looks like a war zone now. The sirens were going off and we saw the tornado on the ground. It was really scary because it was so close. That's when we went to the basement. It missed us but we lost our power and when it was over there was a tree laying in the yard. We checked to see if our friends were okay and they were except Rob but he only got roof damage. We were really lucky. I hope everyone else on this forum that lives here was lucky too.
Jadenz, very to glad to know that you and your family made it through that storm okay. Thanks so much for checking in with us.
Thanks and yeah, we're okay. It was just really scary but it's mostly over now except cleaning everything up. I'm just really happy that nobody I know got hurt.
