Really really sad news. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/4659489.stm My thoughts are with eveyone there and with anyone with family or friends in London.
Seven blasts on the London Underground and a double decker bus. Many injured, fatalities already reported and expected to rise. http://news.bbc.co.uk/
Tony Blair has just had a press conference and confirmed that it is the work of terrorists. BBC News have also reported that a statement found on a website states that the work is by a European Al Quida group - but they are waiting to confirm if this is true. Its believe the target is the disruption of the G8, ie disruption of western democracy. :? The Police are asking people to stay where they are for the moment and to not try to move around London. Blair says the G8 will continue, although he will be going to London this afternoon and then back up to Scotland for this evening. Thoughts and prayers are with you all down in London, especially those still trapped underground from the blasts.
45 dead, 150 seriously injured, 1000 others injured I'm amazed at how calm people in London are acting, it is a credit to them. Also the London terrorist response plan seems to be working very well.
Anyone from London online? I know, it's late there, but I am headed back and am quite freaked out by it all. Of course I am thinking of those of you there as well. My hotel is quite near Edgeware Station where one of the bombs went off ... living here in DC and occasionally driving past the repaired Pentagon keeps my creep factor high! Any news or personal reports are appreciated!
