Good morning all. It got too hot for me to be outside much earlier this morning than I expected. Other than getting some watering done out front I haven't been out there.

My gardening, if any is done, will have to be before 8 a.m. for the next 3-4 months.

Good morning! Watered back garden and herbs this morning. Did the front garden and flowers last evening. It's hot and humid and says 50 percent chance for rain tomorrow. Think I will stay inside for the afternoon. Need to think about lunch now. Maybe tuna salad.

    Morning everyone,

Its still a little on the cool side here, warming up though, and it rained overnight so no watering for me, i did get all the yard work done yesterday, its like the grass is on steroids right now!!

I'm home today, but i need to pop into the bank, and do some grocery shopping.

Tomorrow morning i have a hair appointment and my manicure after that.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

it is pouring here today. I think I will pull the elderberries out of the freezer and make elderberry jelly. Then I need to pick strawberries if it quits raining.

Happy Thursday morning. Feels extra muggy this morning, probably because of the rain that's supposed to get here this afternoon. Hope we get at least enough to give everything a little drink since I didn't get home in time last night to water (went to happy hour with co-workers).

Made 3 batches of elderberry jelly AND we picked 25 quarts of strawberries. All while under a flood watch.

Good afternoon all. We are getting a smidgen of rain, about 1/4th inch overnight and now some heavy sprinkles. Looks to all be moving away pretty quickly, moving faster to the northeast than it is swinging around to the southwest. So it won't be long before the sun is back.

But supposed to be way cooler tomorrow and Saturday mornings. I need to go plant shopping for a few container goodies.

Happy Friday morning. That storm that blew through around 6pm yesterday left us with 1.75+ inches of rain... in ONE hour! Hubby's sister lives about 30 minutes away... didn't get a drop.
I have downed branches. A big branch of one Hibiscus snapped off. The Ballerina Angel Trumpet was nearly uprooted. Poor Cannas are leaning southward. So is Hubby's corn. Everything looks kinda beaten up... but I'm sure they'll bounce back.
I stayed home from work today to keep an eye on Hubby. I think he overheated yesterday and was complaining of chest pain and dizzyness. The temps are in the mid70s and not expected to reach 90 today... and since the ground is saturated... guess I'll be pulling some weeds.

Good morning all. The rain that moved from us to Cheryl was just getting started when here and only left me 5/8ths of an inch. But that was in a slow steady manner so it soaked in nicely over the 1+ hour that it took to fall. I sat our front with a cup of tea thoroughly enjoying the sound of the rain and the look of the garden in it.

When it ended I went to Lowe's for some sale retail therapy. I got 18 plants for $10...and two for regular price that I couldn't resist. Photos to be posted in a few. ;)

Good morning! Only a sixteen hundredth of an inch here. Storm blew threw pretty fast. Got my moonflower vine seeds planted by the back deck this morning and some nastursium seeds. Both were soaking in water since yesterday. Not sure what I'll do with the rest of the day.

Rain, rain and more rain possibilities of up to 4 inches. Glug, glug. Well, I put fertilizer on the lawn. I did not put down any more grass seed as I was concerned it would wash off the prepared soil area. The lawn is cut so it can spend the next couple of weeks growing. Everything else is on its own. I am listening to the weather person saying 1-2 inches per hour.

 :( I was wondering if there was anyone in the path of this storm. Batten down the hatches and keep safe.
