This is Reba--she recently moved in next door, and is the ideal neighbor. Very quiet, keeps her yard chewed down, and has lovely brown eyes. Reba ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) She is supposedly with calf, but I don't know nothin' about birthin' no calf, so if you have an opinion, I'd be happy to hear it. I need to get to knitting four little booties if Reba is expecting!
Jane, What an ideal neighbor...no bull with her, huh? On the other hand she may be giving you a little bull very soon. No booties needed for this one, maybe you could do a hay bag for when it gets a little bigger.
She is a lovely lady. Watching the little one adjust to his/her legs will be fun and maybe if Reba doesn't mind you can spoil it with head scratches and maybe their owner will let you feed them treats once in a while.
Nice neighbor.. Chuckling over your comments.. Reba certainly appears to be in a Mother-ly way... Hank
No bull in sight now, I think her romantic interlude was previous to her arrival next door. If Hank says she is expecting, I'll bet she's expecting! I've already made friends with her--corn cobs and stale bread. She comes to the fence when I'm in the garden, and I usually find something tasty for her. I'll be careful with what I give her if she is in the family way. Sorry Reba, no more jalapeno peppers!
Yea, she is pretty. And so much different than the cows around here We also have a cow and a cute little calf. He's about 2-3 weeks old? Really cute!
Jane the syntax was lost in the written form...that wasn't how it sounded in my ears when I was writing it...I meant in the thought line of "no bull"....aka bad attitude coming from her. Isn't it funny how what we say and how it is written can vary so much, just because of the inflection or inference the voice lends to the sentence? I was assuming with the size of that belly she was not needed a bullfriend anytime soon .
I heard they have a herd of friends and that Friday night after work they party a lot. I hope that she does not run around with the wrong crowd and go to stampedes. Jerry
Jerry, Reba is too elderly to party hardy, but we suspect she is sneaking out to the bingo halls on occasion, and she seems to be coloring her hair/hide.
Now I could do with a lovely lady neighbour like Reba. It looks as though it won't be long before there's a new kid on the block from the size of her. You Must take piccies of the new arrival for us all to 'coo' over. (Coo is the Scottish for cow by the way - just couldn't resist dropping that one in.)
