Good Friday morning all. Currently 25°C and overcast. There is rain in the forecast for today. This is the Friday before the long weekend begins so there is a lot to do. Have a great day all :)

It's finally Friday! However, I don't think many people will be out in their gardens in Scotland this weekend as the weather is rubbish!

Happy Friday morning. yippeee.... weekend is almost here. My plans... continue the attack on weeds, as the shade allows.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 16°C and overcast. I do hope we get some rain this morning! A little work indoors and then I am planning my own attack on the weeds in the gardens. Then the huge task of deadheading the Peony's, Iris and annuals. Have a great day all :)

Morning all. 103F/39C yesterday but cooler weather coming next week...ignore the chances of rain given, it usually ignores my yard. I will have a few mornings to get some plants in the ground and put down more mulch.

Living in a temperate climate makes dealing with heat (sultry to some of you) a bit uncomfortable. Looks like some lazy day weather is here.

    Happy Saturday afternoon.
Wow Toni... 60 & 80 degree temps going into July? Got your winter coat ready? :smt111
Here's the forecast for down here. At least it will be cooling off a bit.

This morning wasn't so bad. There was a light breeze that made it comfortable. I got all the weeding done by 10:30... (well... all that I planned on doing).
Then drug out the water hoses to start to soak the back gardens. Right now, the thermometer... in the shade says 103F. And even standing in the shade... with that breeze.. doing nothing... I was starting to sweat. So... time to come inside for some A/C.

You guys are making me feel sad with all your warm/hot temps. :'( It has been raining here for days and it is 62 F here at 5:30 pm. Afternoon temp not much higer. Not a good year for a garden at all.
They are saying sun by next Friday. Well, maybe! :( But I am still hoping.

Morning all. 98 yesterday and only 93 today...I think we have a cold front coming  Still no rain, but I really like the part about upper 60's for overnight lows. If I get up at 6 a.m...check out the Stew and have a cup of tea, then I could be out in the garden at sunrise which is 6:22 to 6:25 though this coming week. That's doable...I think.

Happy Sunday morning... it hasn't reached 100 yet, but that's okay. The mowing is done. Weed-eating/trimming will just have to wait until next weekend. Today... just water the front and try not to get too hot or dirty (yeah right). :stew2:

Good morning! Busy morning! There were ants all over the kitchen sink last evening so I sprayed the whole counter. And I didn't clean it off first because ants were all over. So, this morning everything had to be washed and scalded if it was accessible to food and dishes. Took awhile. Then, out in front yard to use weed eater to trim up stuff, pick yellow tomatoes (thanks, Marlingardener) and water everything front and back. Changed birds water and filled the feeders. I can hear how happy they are now.
Watered things in back yard, too. Now, I'm going to enjoy the rest of the day doing not much.
I won't say nothing because something always needs to be done.

Happy Monday morning everybody! Time for another week, what's everybody doing? The weather looks good for gardening here just now but looks like we are due to get heavy rain over the next few days. Typical Scotland I guess!

Good Monday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. Today is Canada Day and so a holiday and I do not have to work. Yay!
I have almost managed to catch up on all my garden work, now a good rain will help everything. I am quite pleased with the gardens progress now despite the cold, wet start to spring. Now to fill in the empty spaces. Have a great day all :)
