    We've never seen herons doing that--our herons must be dirty birds!
    We do have cardinals, finches, and other songbirds dipping into the watering stations and then going to a tree to fluff their feathers and wave their wings.
    I've posted "No Swimming, No Bathing" signs but the birds seem to ignore them.
    How nice to see that herons do bathe!

    I've seen one heron sprucing itself up but never so many all at once.
    I love those 'before and after shots' you've taken at the birdbath. It's good to see so many species enjoying bathing in your garden.
