Good Sunday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast. Looks like we had a light rain overnight. Laundry and cleaning to do this morning, and I'd like to vaccuum out my car-IF it's not raining. Have a great day all :)

No raccoon teasing the dog this morning...a good thing. Guess her jumping the fence to get to it gave it a little respect...teasing a big dog, not a good thing. This new raccoon is a good sized one.

Supposed to be in the mid 80s today. Hopefully we will finish this phase of insulating and paneling the interior of the smoke shack. Miss having a place to sit on the patio with all the boards, tools and project materials littering the area. It is good to be busy but I like a quiet place to sit also. :stew1:

Happy Sunday morning. It's tried raining a couple of times, but just enough to rinse off the leaves. At least there's a break from the sun. The grass is really turning brown, so I was REALLY hoping this 50-60% chance today would pan out. There's still hope! But in the meantime, I'll finish with my regular watering.

    Afternoon all.

I bought plants both of the past two days. Guess I will be doing some evening planting this week and hopefully they will be able to cope with the sun the next morning.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. We had rain almost all day yesterday which is great. I like going to work knowing I won't have to water anything! Our new fridge is getting delivered this afternoon :)
    Have a great day all!

Looked outside and seen beaver running-big one. Dove under old pigeon house. Go water containers-put net hat on- gnats and skeeters every place.

Happy Monday morning. Sigh.... last day of my long weekend. Oh well... I've just about run out of stuff to do (except clean the house). I do have the Cosmos bed that needs to be cleaned out.
Oh a brighter note... we got about 1.25 inches of rain yesterday! Rain barrels are full again. And the water hoses get a rest. There's a chance today for more rain, and it's clouding up right now. We sure could use some more.

Peaceful morning and cloud cover makes it feel earlier than it is. Need to get out and clean off the patio from all the craft projects and construction mess as we work on trimming out the smoke shack. It is looking good for such amateur workers.

Morning all. Just another sunny, very dry and hot day happening here.
My rain barrel out front is out of water and all chances of rain in our future are for areas south and east of us. Gonna be a looooooooooooooong summer.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 18°C and overcast. It was a rainy day yesterday, in fact in nearby Toronto, a record of 125mm (49.6 inches!)fell in just 2 hours! The city was flooded and the water is just receding this morning. I'm further north and we didn't get near as much rain here but there is more rain in the forecast today. I hope I get a full day of work in! Hae a

49 inches of rain in 2 hours!! It must have been like being under Niagara Falls while for those 2 hours.

Morning all, getting warmer each day and the humidity level adds 5 degrees to the temperature. Got watering done last night except for the two north beds so better get those done before the 10 a.m. deadline.

Happy Tuesday morning. Back to work for me. Which I was ready for. Yesterday was super nice. Cloudy and a little drizzly off and on all day. We only got about 1/4 inch, but on top of the 1.25 inches the day before... it was a good watering. And made cleaning out the Cosmos bed a breeze.
But... we're back to sunshine and temps in the mid-to-upper 90s for the foreseeable future with only slight chances of rain around the weekend.
