Hello, fellow gardeners and plant lovers. I am really new to all houseplant matters, but I love to explore, learning the tips and tricks of replanting, watering and etc. Maybe any of you can recommend me any nice houseplant (flowers, cactuses, succulents and etc.) that would be easy to take care and easy to find in most garden or flower shops? It doesn't have to be very colorful, but pleasant to look at, not very big, suitable for a windowstill. Also, most of my previous flowers or plants were short-lived (2-3 years), so something more long-living would be great. In my country we have relatively hot and sunny summers (~25C), and cold winters (~17C), I mostly keep my plants on windowsill. Here's a few you could try. Devil's ivy. Peace lily. Spider plant. All need very little care and are easy to grow.
I would check out your local nursery first and see what's available. And then do some research on them to see if they would easy-care or not. Good luck! And don't forget to show us what you decide on.

Spider plant, peperomia (becoming my favorite), Ivy for sure and get a few more starts going from your long one so you wind up with a really full plant, snake plant aka mother in law plant, succulents are surprisingly easy with a little good light over them, Christmas cactus. Only thing with Jades is they grow so slowly. Is one of my first real attempts at house plants but not my favorite for growing fast enough to really enjoy it.
There are tons of easy to care for plants that are much more interesting than a spider plant! Yawn! Petopentia natelensis Ficus microcarpa ginseng Sinningia leucotricha Dorstenia foetida Just a few examples of very easy to care for, but very interesting, plants!
You might enjoy a wax Begonia. The last time I brought one in, it bloomed all winter. It has since been planted outside since they are hardy here, and I plan to bring more in this winter. Last winter was more drab without those flowers.
What's a ZZ plant? Never mind, I googled it. Zamioculcas zamiifolia. There's a lot of hype for it being amongst the easiest to grow houseplant, hard to kill, grows in a variety of conditions, etc.
My favorite is clivia. Very very easy to grow, blooms a very pretty orange flower twice a year. May be a bit difficult to find in the stores, however. Clivia, 10 year old plant. Red berries on right are seeds. ( photo / image / picture from Cayuga Morning's Garden )
SS, I see that you live in Lithuania. I wonder if you have different plants available there than we have here. Why don't you go wherever houseplants are being sold, and see what attracts your eye. Make sure you get the latin name for what you like so you can research it further. Let us know what you find.
