I was within 3 feet using an 18-55mm lens. Just wanted to share these two photos :D

Definitely not a camera shy squirrel.

Often I wonder how nice it would be to have squirrels in the back yard, but then I hear the occasional bad thing and reconsider :)
    Great shots Busted!

Great pictures. We have lots of squirrels but they don't bother the garden. More interested in trying to get into our RV. Squirrels that have their little bags packed and want to go!

Lovely photos. The only thing my squirrels do is try and get to the seed in the bird feeder!

Great photos, I love the squirrels but not the damage they do  As Ronni says, all they are intent on doing is destroying my bird feeders :(

Thank you all, the family loved the photos as well. It's certainly a very friendly squirrel you can pretty much reach out and touch it if you're brave enough. Haven't tried it yet nor do I want too :D . We did have an issue with them after the bird feeder a long time ago, then a little relocation and now they can't get to it. Don't know what it is about dog food but they love it. It's pretty fun to watch them, one will sit on the platform while another will hang from the side of the tree by his back legs and eat. The it will run up and scare the one on the platform away so it can grab another bite.
